Noodles With Chaozhou Sautéed Beef

Ingredients :

  • 300g of dried noodles
  • 200g of bok choy 
  • 200g of beef  
  • Chili satay
  • 1 tablespoon of condensed soy sauce 
  • 200 ml of chicken broth 
  • 10g of cornflour 
  • Green onion
  • 1 tablespoon of rice wine 
  • Salt, pepper, sugar
  • Cooking oil, minced garlic

Instructions :

Step 1:

  • Rinse the dried noodles with clean water, soften them in boiling water. Rinse and slice the beef. Rinse the bok choy and drain, cut it into 5cm pieces. Pour the chili satay into a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of the rice wine then mix together. Heat the oil in a pan, stir fry the minced garlic, sauté the beef and chopped green onion over a large flame until medium cooked, then remove from the pan onto a plate. Use the pan again to stir fry the bok choy over a high heat until cooked, season with salt, then serve on a plate, spread evenly.

Step 2:

  • Pour the satay into a hot pan, season with salt and sugar. Mix the corn flour with the chicken broth until dissolved, then slowly pour the mixture into the satay sauce. Stir evenly, while pouring. Boil the sauce until reduced, then pour into a bowl. Heat the oiled pan, stir-fry the noodles and the beef, then pour on to the plate with the bok choy.
